Map of contested lots at the Suriname River

Title Leupe: Kaart van de Landen van Stephanus Laurentius Neale en Pierre Thouron.

This survey of two plantations at the Suriname River was requested by their owners: the widow of mr. Boxel and mr. Pierre Thouro. They disagreed on the border between their lands which was determined earlier by the land surveyors D. Becker, Gerrit Wesseling and R.D. Meester. Hence J. Hengevelt was called to place marker poles once more to clearly divide the lots along the line Y, R, Z. In addition, the land of Stephanus Leurentius is also depicted to the east of the aforementioned parcels (to the left on the map). The map was signed on 23 October 1725 and verified on 11 January 1726.
