Title Leupe: "Plaan van het hospitaal à Paramaribo in Surinamen."
Since 1695 Paramaribo had had a hospital in Gravenstraat, but the complex reproduced on the 1793 plan was the outcome of a complete renovation and rebuilding in the years 1758-1773, plus a few later additions like the new laboratory in 1787, mentioned under (H).
North is upper left.
