Wynberg

Several farmers settled on the slopes of the Wijnberg, a hill near the grain store, de Schuur, and Constantia. According to Pieter van Dam, who recorded the history of the VOC around 1701, in 1693 Wijnberg numbered a community of 32 company employees and 262 cattle.
