The Battle of Trincomalee.
Sea battle between units of the English and the French fleet at Trincomalee, Ceylon on September 3, 1782.
Depicted right the English vessels sail in disciplined formation, while on the left the French squadron has fallen into disarray. As they pass, the English ships give their enemy a broadside.
