Project plan for Fort Bloed

Title Leupe: Plan van het te vergrote bastion Bloedfort, mitsgaders van de nieuwe te makene lage battery langs den zeekant in groot bestek.

This drawing is part of a series from 1754 of detailed site and project maps of the most important existing defensive works on Curaçao. These maps served as annexes to the progress reports about the execution of Van Burmania’s plan, which also included the strongholds in the outer bays, sent by the director to the board. This is a draft for Fort Bloed north of Willemstad. The walls of this projected fort are shown in detail, with reference numbers and an index explaining details.
