This draft was made in preparation of the reprint of J.C. Heneman’s comprehensive map of Suriname from 1784. The drawing displays the settlements and trails along the Para Creek. The map was made during a five-day ship journey by one of the editors of the reprint, likely the second lieutenant of the artillary C.A. van Sypestein. This sheet shows the schedule of this journey.
