Map of Bullen Bay
Schrijver, Carel Gustaaf / Esdré, Godfried Carel
Title Leupe: Plan van de Bulle Bay.
This map shows the east side of the Bulle Bay in more detail than VEL618 and VEL619A, and shows two different fortifications by means of a papillotte, i.e. an affixed piece of paper that can be folded away. Seen here is the larger fortification that the States-General resolved to have built on 9 October 1743, and which was of the same larger type that they desired for Sint Kruis Bay, Porto Marie, Sint Michiel Bay and Piscadera Bay. Beneath it is the original design as proposed by Esdré and Schrijver (see VEL618). Soundings are given along the bay.
North is upper left.
Taken from: resolution of HHM 9 October 1743.
Scale-bar of 100 Rhineland Rods = [approximately 1 : 3,560].
