Title Leupe: "Kaart van de plantagiën geleegen aan de westwal van Demerary tuschen de kreeken Hobabo en Camoeny"

Hendrik van Cooten (1750-c. 1826), who was from Doorn, started working in Demerara as a sworn surveyor in 1773. This map from 1776 is a survey of twenty-seven plantations, conducted by him and Desbaratz. They are descibred through designations, names of owners, and various measurements in the index on the left. The dotted lines serve several purposes as is explained in the note in the middle of the map.
