Prospect cut from parchment of a building with two towers and a courtyard flanked by gardens planted with palm trees.
The cut-out has been affixed to three handwritten 17th century leaves of paper.
Left of centre a coat of arms.
The prospect is probably after: Koninklijke Bibliotheek, The Hague, inv. nr. 1043 B 14, after p. 144 no. 38.
The Dutch governor in Brazil, Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen, commissioned this palace to be built.
