Bhaij Fals

The VOC's land muster-rolls refer to a separate post by the name of False Bay, but it is unclear which place is meant here. In any case the station in question is not 'Achter de Steenbergen aan de Baai Fals', given that both posts are recorded in the land muster-rolls of the same year, each having a separate garrison. False Bay is a larg bay lying south east of Table Bay and west of the Leeuwenberg. The chief outposts on the bay were Muisenberg, Vishoek and Simon's Bay.
