The murder of Sebald de Weert (1603).
The king of Matecalo (Baticoloa) and his retinue attend the arrival of vice admiral De Weert. When the king hears that De Weert, contrary to a contract he sealed with the king, has released Portuguese prisoners and De Weert goes on to insult the king, the Dutchman pays for it with his life.
