View of the fort at Ancol, five kilometres west of Batavia. The fort is situated at the end of the Antjolse Vaart, now (in 2002) renamed Ancol Dreamland.

The road shown left leads to the Slingerland estate.

The fort is square, with four bastions. Flanking the bastion on the left is a clocktower. A drawbridge offers access to the fort.
