View of the church at Batavia
Anoniem / Anonymous
View across the river of the church at Batavia. The church features ornate pillars and bow windows, the coved roof is topped by an octagonal cupola crowned by an open belltower. On either side the church is flanked by buildings with semi-circular gables. Figures in European dress stroll along the quay, while the river is dotted with three boats, including two filled to the brim with something resembling pumpkins.
