View of Cape of Good Hope
Anoniem / Anonymous
A view of the coast of the Cape of Good Hope, with ships in the foreground. Along the coast several buildings with turrets; behind a range of mountains, one of which is topped by a flag. In the foreground right, several three-master vessels with cannon. The vessel on the far right flies a large, plain flag. The picture also shows several cutters, one of which has a sail and flies the Dutch flag. A cloud of smoke is seen billowing up from between the tall ships, and there are also plumes of smoke emanating from near the ship on the right.
The page number bladz: 159 is mentioned, in all probability therefore, this illustration was part of a book.
Near the ship on the right fumes of smoke are illustrated.
Old inventory number: CNO 20M.
