Design for a partly wooden provisions store
Wijnbergen, Jacob
Title Leupe: "Plan van een nieuw magazijn van vivres te bouwen binnen de forteresse Zeelandia."
This is a first draft of a new provisions store in the outer fort constructed partly of brick by master carpenter Jacob Wijnbergen. In September 1788 it was sent to the Directors by Governor Wichers, with an alternative plan for a full-brick building by the Lieutenant in the Engineering Corps and Inspector Nicolaas Laurens Robatel.
At the rear side the following is written: "No. 18, Register 17, part 1, folio 88." Marked Depôt des cartes, plans et journaux de la Marine.”
Taken from: mission-report of Governor-General Wichers from 27 September 1788, see the resolution of the Society of Suriname from 29 July 1789 for the ratification of this plan.
