The map is executed on two sheets that have been pasted together.
The map shows the plantations along the various rivers.
Also indicated on the chart are the villages of runaway slaves.
Left and right a key comprising the Naamlijst der Eigenaars van de Plantagien (list of plantation owners' names) totalling 519 numbers in all.
Top left an inset featuring a map of the area's wider surroundings.
In cartouche: Met Octroy van de Ed: Gr: Aacht: Heeren Burgermeesteren der Stadt Amsterdam.
