Title page of Lotgevallen en vroegere zeereizen van Jacob Haafner, pothumously published on the basis of his notes in 1820, by his son Christiaan Mathias Haafner. The engraving depicts the 'Societeitshuis' in the Cape Colony, halfway up the Lion's head, where Haafner liked to spend his time when living in Cape Town in the late 1760s.
