Sojourn and repairs at IJshoek, 17-21 June 1597

The expedition members pull the boats, mauled by the drifting ice, onto the ice sheet and perform repairs. To the right, Barentsz and Andriesz, who died during this sojourn. In the background, the boats are repaired and birds are caught.
