Title Leupe: "Kaart van de plantages gelegen bij de Surinamerivier."
This map of the Paulus creek is a copy map which was signed in Amsterdam in September 1711 by the surveyor Maurits Walraven. The annotation states the original of the map of Paulus Creek was given to him by François Finoot, who had also commissioned it. From 1705-1710 Finoot was posted as bookkeeper to the garrison in Surinam. He died in Amsterdam in 1712, at that time, according to the burial records, holding the position of Councillor to the Suriname Court of Police. Nothing further is known about the reason Finoot commissioned this map
