This is one of the last overviews made of the first Cordon of Defence. As is mentioned in the annotation at the upper left, this maps serves to depict the connections between the Commewijne, Cottica and Suriname rivers. Communication lines and river routes are of importance for the links between these rivers. The posts and facilities are drawn in various colours. A cartouche can be found at the bottom right.
