Draft for the canal between the Suriname and Saramacca river

This French map contains a draft for new construction work between the Suriname and the Saramacca river to the south of Paramaribo.

Among others, a canal will be dug from the Suriname river to the Oranje Creek.

This creek is connected to the Saramacca river.

The canal is indicated with a dotted line, next to which annotations have been made on the landscape, i.e. swamps, palisades etc.

Next to the map a profile has been drawn of the canal.
