The picture shows vessels in the harbour, with a Dutch East Indiaman giving a cannon salute. This vessel flies the Amsterdam VOC flag, featuring an 'A' atop the VOC logo. A cutter carrying senior officials sails nearby, while a foil carrying natives is depicted left in the foreground.
A note on the reverse reads NM V5587.
