Title Leupe: Plan van de Verse baay.
This small map of the battery on the ‘Verse Baaij’ (Vaersen Bay) a little to the west of the better known Sint Michiel Bay, is the only depiction of this small stronghold still extant. The fortification had first been constructed in 1713, but depicted here is the battery as it was erected after 1750.
North is upper left.
