The map is taken from the Atlas Blaeu-Van der Hem.

Nicolaas Visscher dedicated the chart to Gerardus Schaep, master of Kortenhoeff, ambassador for the Republic in Sweden and Denmark.

This map strongly resembles Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Vienna, inv. nr. Van der Hem 35:04 and Van der Hem 37:02, only the colouring differs.
