Map of the Penoribo Plantation

Title Leupe: Kaart van eenige Plantagien, gelegen tusschen Cottica en Commewyne.
This map shows the Penoribo Plantation and her adjacent lands (D-P and G, M, N), located to the northeast of (above on the map) the Commewijne River.
Sir Jan Ridderbagh requested the survey after he bought one of the adjacent lands from George Leyll.
The lands turn out to measure 2601 Surinamese acres (1118,43 hectares).
Survey methods are described in the annotations on the right side of the map.
Adjacent lots not included in this survey still contain information on surveys conducted there earlier.
As small blaka-beri forest lays to the north (top left on the map) of the lots.
The map is signed on 7 June 1727 and ratified on 1 March 1730.
Scale of 100 Chains of 66 Rhineland feet = 60 ‘strepen’.
