This map shows the sixth lot of the Nieuwe Lavant plantation (indicated with the letters A-D) belonging to Sir Duselle, situated north of the Cottica River.
The survey was requested by Benjamin Duselle himself.
The lot turns out to measure 273 Surinamese acres (117,4 hectares).
The Nieuwe Claerenbeek en Pietersburg plantations lie to the south of these lands (below on the map).
The map was signed by the land surveyor on 21 July 1734 and ratified on 9 February 1736 in Paramaribo.
The map is part of the series VEL1934-VEL1938, which maps the lots of this plantation separately. The entire Nieuwe Lavant plantation is depicted on map VEL1933.
Scale of 100 Chains of 5 ½ Rhineland rods= 170 ‘strepen’.
