Map of the land of sir Sereru
Freuytenier, Jan
Title Leupe: Kaart van een stuk land, gelegen in de Cottica, linkerhand in het afvaren.
This map shows the lots of Sir Samuel Sereru and Daniel Wopma on the south bank (top on the map) of the Cottica river.
Sir Samuel Sereru requested the survey.
The land turns out to measure 558,5 Surinamese acres (c. 240 hectares).
Both lots are crossed by a Blaka-Beri forest which is partially burned.
To the east of the piece of land lies the land of the widow Cuijlenborgh; to its west the land of Sir Pierre Labbardij to the west; to the south the lots of Sir Woedingh and Gerrit Lemmers in Pierica.
The map was signed by the land surveyor on 5 June 1732 and ratified on 19 June 1752 in Paramaribo.
Scale of 100 Chains of 5 1/2 Rhineland rods = 300 ‘strepen’.
