Map of the plantation of Mr. Labaddie

Title Leupe: Kaart van eenige stukken land, gelegen tusschen de Plantagie Vlucht en Trouw.
This map demarcates the land of Mr. Labbadie (yellow borders, indicated with the letters A-E) on the south bank (above on the map) of the Cottica river.
The survey was made on request of Pieter Labbadie, who obtained two pieces of land om 1 July 1712 and 12 January 1719.
Because the Society of Suriname claims 300 Surinamese acres (129 hectares) from his land, indicated by the letters R and S, Sir Labbadie receives a new piece of land of 350 Surinamese acres (150,5 hectares, green borders) as compensation.
Labbadie’s land with the additional lot turns out to measure 1450 Surinamese acres (623,5 hectares).
The lot lies west of the land of Sir Daniel Wobma, and east of the lands belonging to Sir Cley and Sir Albertus Lippert.
The map was signed by the surveyor on 30 May 1732 and ratified on 22 September 1732 in Paramaribo.
Scale of 100 Chains of 66 Rhineland feet = 130 ‘strepen’.
