Title Leupe: Kaart van een stuk land gelegen in de rivier Cottica, links in het afvaren, gelegen in de bogt van het 1e tabbetje.
This map demarcates the plantation of Sir van Overschelden (coloured red) on the south bank (above on the map) of the Cottica river.
The survey was made on request of Sir Ferdinandus van Overschelden to measure his new piece of land which he obtained from Sir Hendrik van Laar on 26 January 1707.
The lot turns out to measure 1500 Surinamese acres (645 hectares).
The 1th Tappetje Creek is depicted to the north of the plantation (below on the map).
The map was signed by the surveyor on 26 January 1728 and ratified on 3 Juni 1730 in Paramaribo.
Scale bar of 100 Chains of 66 Rhineland feet = 112 ‘strepen’.
